Andersonville, TN – On a picture-perfect Saturday this past June, Sequoyah Marina proudly hosted National Marina Day 2024, bringing together local boaters, lake lovers, and first-time visitors for a full day of waterfront celebration on Norris Lake. The annual event, recognized nationwide, shines a spotlight on the vital role marinas play in their communities — and Sequoyah delivered an unforgettable experience that combined hospitality, education, and lakeside entertainment.
From early morning boat launches to evening music echoing over Big Creek embayment, the marina was alive with energy. Guests enjoyed free vessel safety checks, boating safety demos, and family-friendly activities like paddleboard races and knot-tying contests. Sequoyah’s ship’s store buzzed with foot traffic, and the restaurant patio was filled with laughter, cold drinks, and the smell of grilled favorites.
